Decadence: In Decline addresses growing concerns of empires reaching their socio-economic limitations. Depicted are two empires at different stages of development, both exemplifying decadence, albeit in different ways.  One empire is dormant, the relic of a long-gone era of productivity and industry. An exhibition of pure wastefulness, no one has returned to recognize what was left behind, or to clean it up. Meanwhile the other empire is reaching impossible heights, progressing towards its own tipping point. The urban landscape is readily recognized for the exclusivity and economic power it promotes, as well as for requiring significant expansion to remain self-sustaining.
